Sarzana
Sarzana is on the border with Tuscany and in the province of La Spezia, just a few kilometers far from the sea coast. It still looks like a medieval town with its two fortresses : the “Cittadella” in the town centre, and the “Sarzanello Fortress” that overlooks the Magra Valley. Magra is the main river of this land. There are many monuments and cultural events that take place here such as the "festival della mente", the"soffitta nella strada" and the "Calandriniana".The typical cuisine is a mixture between Tuscany food like farinata and buccellato, and the Ligurian one with its testaroli and spungata. The “Colli di Luni” wine is produced in this area.
