Le Grazie
The first of these creeks after Portovenere is called the Inlet of the Olive (Cala dell’Oliva). After this one, follows another one called Our Lady of Grace (Nostra Signora delle Grazie), which takes its name from a noble monastery of Olivetani Monks. Its mile long circuit is a “compendium” of graces, as for example a small port in which the water never makes waves, therefore a haven of perpetual calm where one can enjoy fishing. The Roman villa of Varignano, of rustic residential type, is located in the creek of of Le Grazie, on the lands of the town council of Porto Venere and on the slopes of the Muzzerone pass. The villa is open on the sea, in a landscape of an amazing beauty.
